3V - Around the Traps

Literacy

We have created our poet-tree by students writing their revised and edited poems onto leaves. Well done 3V!

Before we finish the year we are going to take another look at information text writing. This will also link into our inquiry unit as we will be learning about natural and man-made disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, erosion). To begin with, we have started by focussing on having a ‘sizzling start’ in our introductions as we want to hook our readers in. 

Maths

We have been working on elapsed time to finish off our time unit. We have learnt that elapsed time problems are problems where we are given the start and end time, and we must work out how much time has passed.

Inquiry

We have begun filming our Earth, Moon and Sun revolution stop-motions. It has been great to see this coming together and the students working as a group to make their finished product.

RE (Religious Education)

To finish off our Fruits of The Spirit work, we will be filming our Fruits of the Spirit play in the next week. This will test my editing skills but fingers crossed I will be able to pop it onto Google Classroom for you to access at home in the next few weeks.
