News

A big congratulations to the grade 4/5/6 children who put in a spectacular effort for the Stride For Education Fundraising event Friday just gone. The dedication and determination of all participants were outstanding and I know most ran/walked more laps than they ever thought they would, achieving beyond their goals. We are all very proud of them!

Lots on towards the end of this week with gymnastics taking place on Thursday and the Social Enterprise children running their stall at the old Jail Thursday morning. It’s great to see them getting creative and learning some valuable life skills for a good cause. On Friday the whole school will be participating in a Mega Art Day run by our wonderful art teacher!

Literacy

The children have been participating in a number of independent reading tasks while teachers have been completing final assessments for the year. Despite the difficulties that remote learning has presented, all children have made progress and there are some pleasing results.

Maths

All children are continuing to work on the topic of numbers and algebra. We are working hard to achieve a couple more outcomes before the year comes to an end. Mrs Bridget’s maths group has been working on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa.

Life Relationships

A reminder that our parent/student night is next Wednesday 24th November for grades 5/6 at 6:00 pm. It would be great to see as many families online as possible.
