FOUNDATION - Around the Traps

On Friday 10th December, we will be celebrating Italian Day at St Joseph’s! 🇮🇹

Students will be treated to a small luncheon of pizza and gelato and we will all eat together on the turf. Recess and lunch will still need to be packed.

Dietary requirements will be catered for.

Please come dressed in Italian colours of green, white or red or as the Azzurri (the blues) soccer players!

Literacy

This week we have looked closely at the language orientation and understanding the author's word choice in one of the letters from the text I Wanna New Room by Karen Kaufman Orloff. We will move on to a word study using the base word ‘room’. Students are learning the spelling oo as in moon and learning about compound words. 

We are off to a great start with our mini playground constructions! Before throwing things out, check with your child if it could be used for our mini playgrounds.
