Italian Pen Friend Exchange 

This week Greensborough College teamed up with Saint Ingatius College Geelong to strike up a pen friend exchange.  

Greensborough College Italian students received personalised letters written in Italian from students from Saint Ignatius College Geelong. The collaboration involved Saint Ignatius students writing individualised letters to our students, in turn, our students read and responded in Italian. Letters contained topics such as favourite pastimes, school and other interesting facts. 

Students discussed the opportunities and challenges of the task with an overwhelming, positive, response. Students reported feelings of satisfaction being able to interpret and communicate solely in Italian with authentic text.

We look forward to continuing this relationship into 2022.
