Ceremonial Parade

The 26th of November was a tremendous occasion for the Monivae College Army Cadet Unit as we saw the return of the Annual Ceremonial Parade. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, interrupting both the students’ schooling and cadet training days, this year’s parade was altered to accommodate this and a small number of cadets represented the unit compared to previous years. Although the cadets only had a short amount of time to prepare, they did an outstanding job in conducting themselves throughout the parade. We would like to congratulate all the award recipients for their efforts throughout the year. Lastly, special thanks go out to the Reviewing Officer for the parade, MAJ Sarah Vandepeer. 2022 Cadets

With the new structure of Cadets, starting next year, the senior cadets have already started organizing and working together to ensure that we start the year off well.

I would like to congratulate the incoming ADJT CUO Ben Read and RSM WO1 Jasmine Young and look forward to working with them both along with their leadership group to ensure that Cadets is a positive fun experience for all.

I would like to thank the 2021 ADJT CUO Charlotte McAdam and RSM Ben Read and their leadership group on an outstanding effort in 2021, given that we were interrupted many times with Covid lockdowns. Thank you also to all the Yr 8 & 9 cadets who persevered throughout a challenging year.
