CELEBRATIONS and TRANSITIONS
The concept of ‘normality’ is almost upon us. Schools come to life when everyone is onsite and students and staff strengthen the learning environment relationship.
Last week, we farewelled the class of 2021 and as you can see by the pictures that adorn this newsletter, it was certainly a night to acknowledge outstanding achievements amongst the cohort. They are to be congratulated for their resilience, perseverance and care they showed for each other. Congratulations to all the Year 12 staff who prepared detailed, engaging lessons and delivered assessment tasks with clarity and integrity.
The night was filled with warmth, affirmation, friendship and reflection. The College is so proud of the class of 2021 and they are to be wished all the best in the next phase of their life.
Thanks must also go to the Senior School team – Mrs Cathy Menz, Mrs Emma Tawa, Ms Lucy Moore, Ms Adrienne Oates and Mrs Jacqui Godfrey, for all the meticulous planning and organisation of the night. Thank you to Ms Leah Pritchard who assisted with the organisation and the planning also.
Having said that planning for 2022 is currently underway and transition classes are running every day. Year 11 into Year 12 and Year 10 into Year 11 students have had an opportunity to meet their teachers and they have had to complete a small task before they head off on their well deserved summer holiday. The College teaching and learning program continues with all our students in Years 7-9 and they, too, have tasks to complete as teachers get ready to produce all the end of year reports.
We look forward to a smooth finish to the year.
