Visual Arts

A selected group of Middle School students have this week worked with renown artist, Kati Thamo to design the two engraved rocks to go into the new gardens near the Middle School. This process has really given the students insight into how an artist goes about creating an artwork in response to a commission. All Year Seven students created drawings after listening to Menang elders talk at the Fish Traps in February. The rock design will be inspired by the stories of the Fish Traps and will be a significant addition to the school environment.
