From the Head of Middle School 

This week we commenced our process for Student Leadership in the Middle School for 2022. Students were emailed a handbook outlining the process to nominate as a House Leader and also the requirements of a House Leader. Some of the qualities that we emphasise include:

• Be a proven willing contributor to the Middle School/School.
• Have been supportive of the School through frequent, regular participation in School activities.
• Have worked cooperatively with staff.
• Have shown initiative.
• Have shown enthusiasm.
• Have shown the confidence and commitment to lead, encourage and inspire other students.
• Have been a motivated, reliable and co-operative student.
• Have demonstrated good organisational skills.
• Be approachable, accepting and tolerant of others.
• Be of “Good Standing” in the School community.

It is a very brave thing to put your hand up for leadership selection, knowing that you may not be successful. If your child fits the bill and has something to offer please encourage them to apply. They will have lots of support at school and leadership also has some great opportunities throughout the year, as you can see by the pictures.
