Geoscience Australia

On Tuesday last week we linked up with Geoscience Australia in Canberra and learnt about earthquakes. The presentation was really interesting and we learnt about tectonic plates, the frequency of earthquakes in Australia and how earthquakes are measured. 

They showed an interesting demonstration with spaghetti and related it to the magnitude of earthquakes. We also learnt what to do if an earthquake strikes - get under a table and hold 

on!

Bike Collection

Please come and collect any bikes left at school since bike week. You will need to collect the bike in school hours or ring and arrange a time to collect it and we will get it out of the shed. Thank you.

Renovations

We are currently in the middle of a number of repairs and one major renovation at school. The office has been completely stripped and will be re-built over the coming weeks and into the holidays. There was asbestos in the floor tiles, but this was safely removed over a weekend and the area now has a safety clearance.
