STEAM News
Welcome to STEAM news at Edenhope College. Our genius F-7 students are developing their critical thinking and innovative knowledge through applying themselves to design different challenging activities and implementing their STEAM project. Our students are getting ready to take the challenge of 21st century’s problems with a higher level of thinking, innovation and creativity.
Eggs on the nest
Our Foundation students have learnt about the bird nest through “Ten in the bed” rhyme and they have checked how much height an egg can sit at without breaking it. They decorated and designed a house for the egg to sit freely. Thank you Mrs Hausler!
Our Foundation students have tested the optical illusion and it made our Foundation students dizzy when spinning.
Balloon Powered Car
Year 1/2 students have learnt how to make a table in a word document and use a table to compare data/information. They have made a balloon powered car in their STEAM class and compared the distance travelled by their car to find the winner. In future they may build their own car.
Animal Dance
Year 1/2 STEAM students have made an animal dance with their creating skills.
Snowflake decoration
In STEAM, Year 5/6 students demonstrated their very creative action in designing and making a snowflake with using the low cost poptick to decorate their room before Christmas.
Windmill for the Farm
In STEAM, Year 5/6 students have learnt the principle of wind power for windmills and they built a windmill in class.
Canister Rocket Launch
