Year Five

In Year 5, the BEST things about Term 4 have been...

“Being able to learn and see my friends”

“Having face to face teaching”

“Seeing our friends”

“Playing soccer”

“Socialising”

“Doing interesting work”

“Learning new maths skills”

“Putting together a picture story book”

“Learning with others”

In Year 5, these are some books we recommend. We hope you give them a go.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

This amazing book by Dr Seuss is about a spectacular town called Whoville. In the mountains there lived a hideous, green man named Grinch. One day, he couldn’t stand the bright Christmas carols, so he decided a dreadful plan to steal everyone’s Christmas and he knew exactly what to do. I learned that simply being nice can help a lot of people because in the story, the Grinch realised that what he was doing was wrong. My favourite part of this enjoyable story is the ending when the Grinch starts ti brighten up. I would recommend this book to people of any age who love Christmas. I give this amazing book four and a half stars.

Pokemon Gotta Catch them all

Pokemon Gotta Catch Them All is full of statistics and facts. It’s also filled with 700 Pokemon. An eggcellent way to start your day is a good old Pokemon. It give you the height and type/element , although it does not tell you about the weaknesses, strengths or HP. It encourages you and persuades you to get more card(s). I recommend this to Pokemon fans like my sister Kaylee. And that is Pokemon Gotta Catch them All for you!
