Year 7 - 9 Humanities

In Humanities, students across 7-9 have been exploring Careers Education to prepare them for joining the workforce. As part of their learning for Work Futures in Humanities, they completed a survey that identified their own skills and interests in order to select a career pathway that suited them and their goals. They then researched a career that interested them and explored the features, requirements and qualifications of the profession. Students in Year 9 expanded on this by examining the specific university or TAFE entry requirements, the costs involved and the best pathway for them to get career they want. Furthermore, they developed a Careers ePortfolio which allowed to understand their strengths and how to turn a weakness into a strength, and to establish clear academic and career-based goals for 2021. The images show some of the chosen professions of Lakes students. Well done and aim high!
