My Place
Prep students drew their own house using bright colours, lines, shapes and patterns inspired by Australian Artist Howard Arkley.
They also used a variety of collage material to create their own house. Students explored different textures inside their homes and created artworks to show textures in their rooms.
Emotional artwork
Year 1 and 2 students explored their emotions and created abstract artworks to express their feelings. They used colour, shape and line to create their artworks. Students were inspired by a range of famous abstract artworks.

This Sporting Life – Human figure in action.
Year 3 students created a sculpture which showed a sporting action using a variety of materials found at home. They were inspired by the famous ‘Discus Thrower’ sculpture.
If I were a robot…
Year 4 students used their imagination to create what they thought might be inside their hand if they were a robot.
Imachination
Year 5 students designed and created imaginary machines called ‘Imachinations’ inspired by the artworks of well-known author and illustrator Shaun Tan. They used a variety of materials found at home to construct their 3D artwork.
