Year Six

This term we have been learning about text features and how information reports, news articles and biographies are structured and written. First, we invented an animal and then wrote an information report. Then we did some writing workshop’s with Paul to learn how to write a news article. Here are some of our writing pieces:

Writing this term was fun especially the fact that we got to create our own animal it was also handy that we used the same animal for lots of different topics

I loved doing this newspaper article this term as it was a fun way to write about our creative animal’s. We also had Lord Cecil Beefy 17th Earl of Wobble Bottom on Tyne come in so we could interview him about our creature. We turned his constructive feedback into quotes for our article. I made a creature called the Horgle which is a horse mixed with an eagle. We had so much fun with this creative project and I hope we can do something like this again.

This Term we had to create a newspaper article for our writing project. We also had to create an animal to write the article on. I made a squirrel mixed with a bear, and a dog. It was called the Sqolarog, I had so much fun creating and writing about this animal. Then we had Lord Cecil Beefy 17th Earl of Wobble bottom on Tyne come and give us some constructive feedback. Then we used his feedback to add to our article to make it engaging and fun to read.
