Parent's

Association

First Meeting

It was great to have our first Parent's Association Meeting face to face at school during the week.  We welcomed a new group of interested year 7 parents and were pleased to see some familiar faces from other year levels join us.  The February meeting is a bit of a try before you buy meeting for people who are interested, we hope by the next meeting parents will commit for the next 12 months.

The key agenda items discussed were the 2020 secondhand bookstall which was a great success.  We sold in excess of $8000 worth of books on behalf of families and were able to purchase a range of resources for student wellbeing to distribute to students in need.  Special thanks to Jess Rocca for all her organisation of this service.  Jess has led and managed the book store for the last 4 years however this will be her last.

One of the roles of PA is to raise funds to purchase the curriculum resources that enrich our students learning.  We spent some time discussing a range of different ideas for a major fundraiser later this year.  Big thanks to Heidi Slattery (our president) who is leading and driving this initiative. We hope to have a proposal to College Council within the month.
