New Books in the Library

Students are encouraged to explore the new titles that have just arrived in the Library. We have purchased all books shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year award, as well as new non-fiction and manga titles. 

There are also new eBooks available from our Library website and the Sora app, including Children’s Book Council award nominated books and new additions to popular series.

New books can be found in the Library on the New Books wall display, or through the New Items reading list on our Library website.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge Update

Well done to our students for an amazing start to the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge at EDSC! We now have 611 students registered, and 403 books have been read and reviewed.

All Year 7 and 8 students have been automatically enrolled in the Challenge, with the homegroups that read the most books winning a pizza party prize, while Year 9 and 10 students can sign up to go in the draw for a $40 Westfield voucher.

We have a Library display that shows the Year 7 and 8 homegroup rankings. These leaderboards will be updated each fortnight. The rankings so far are:
