Welcome back 2: Music tour of China
A wonderful two weeks
After months of hard work, fundraising and rehearsals, our Music students were finally off to China for their tour. It was fantastic to travel with such an enthusiastic and co-operative group of students. They all represented the school, Australia and themselves with pride. The journey included a number of wonderful performances, time at our sister school Huaibei Number One High School in Anhui Province, an enriching homestay opportunity and plenty of sight seeing. Congratulations to all students for the way you supported each other throughout the journey.
Trips such as these do not happen without a big commitment from staff. A big thank you to Mrs Kelly-Cleeve for all of her organisation and dedication to the tour. Thank you to Mr Perry for rehearsing the String group last year before he became an official teacher at NHS and for his passion for the String ensemble. Thank you to Mr O'Shaughnessy for his photos; very special memories that will last forever. Thank you to Mr Ramsay for his support in setting up the percussion every concert. Thank you to Mr Mcleod for supporting our communication with our Chinese friends through his translating. Finally, a big thank you to all of the staff for their endless support and enthusiasm not only during the tour, but in the lead up to the trip.
