Budding Engineers - with a social conscience
Year 7s in Engineers without Borders
In Term 1, university student volunteers came from Engineers without Borders
Australia to talk to all Year 7 science classes.
They talked about providing engineering resources to developing countries. We then did a water filtration activity in which each group were provided a certain amount of money based off its actual economic situation and had to buy resources to make the filter. The materials used in the filter included cloths, sand, gravel and plastic cups.
We'd like to thank all those who helped make this amazing science event possible.
