Safe on Social – Save the date

A reminder to please save the date of our Safe on Social parent/carer session on Wednesday 9 June. This will be a very informative session which I encourage all parents/carers to attend, especially those with children in Year 3 or above. This session is not for students.

See our Week 8 newsletter for further details, or go directly to the Safe on Social website for information on topics that will be covered in this session.

Young Leaders

Last Friday, our school prefects returned from their trip to Sydney for the Young Leaders Conference. Key messages from the speakers included the importance of resilience, persistence and confidently pursuing your goals. I feel all students were able to gain valuable learning from the experience. Early next term, I will begin working more closely with our school leaders to help them develop initiatives that support the aims of our School Improvement Plan.

Thank you to Mrs Howlett for accompanying us on the trip and helping us navigate our way around Sydney.

All current Year 5 students have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership qualities to their teachers for selection in the overnight leadership development camp later this year.

School Improvement Plan

Our School Improvement Plan is due to be finalised this term. The final copy will be published on our website by the beginning of Term 2.

Morning Supervision

Please be aware that we are not able to ensure supervision of students at school before 8:40am. Our playground is supervised by teachers in the 30min prior to the commencement of classes at 9:10am.

Term 2

Term 2 commences for students on Tuesday 20 April. Please remember that daylight savings will have finished by this time, with clocks set back by one hour this Sunday 4 April.
