Principal News

ANZAC Day, 250421, continued to look a little different that what we are used to but I know that the meaning was not lost by:

  • special driveway vigils
  • stories shared
  • visiting memorials
  • laying wreaths and flowers
  • watching your favourite football team play (and hopefully win)

... and generally taking a moment to listen to the bugle play the last post (which makes the hairs on the arms rise).

May we always remember the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers, from all battles, countries and times.

Lest we forget.

It is with great excitement that we count down to 3 weeks of school related camps:

  • Somers Camps (select students):  Week 3, 030521 - 090521
  • Year 3 & 4 Camp Toolangi  Week 5, 170521 - 190521
  • Year 5 & 6 Camp Rumbug:  Week 6, 240521 - 260521

After 2020 being 'campless', we are very much looking forward to hearing about all the adventures, seeing the photos and laughing about all the fun times had.

For further information, keep an eye on Compass.  Any questions, please communicate with your classroom teacher.

Child Safe

In the media recently there has been information regarding issues of consent in schools. These conversations reinforce the need to support our students to build and manage safe and respectful relationships.

At CSPS all staff have a duty of care to take reasonable steps to protect students under their care and supervision from harm that is reasonably foreseeable. This means taking steps to promote respectful relationships with our students.

This term students will continue to engage in Respectful Relationships through participating in lessons that will focus on Personal Strengths and Positive Coping. These lessons aim to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours and teaches our students how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.
