Book Club

Wow - what a great start to Book Club this year! We love seeing the smiles and joy when students get their own brand new books dropped off to them in class.  Thank you to the families who stuck with Book Club through our technical trouble when they were only offered home delivery. This is all resolved now, with free delivery to school back up and running.

For those families new to Book Club, the process is:

  1. Parents and children look through the catalogue below together, selecting books that they would like to order. We are trying to reduce our environmental impact by sharing catalogues digitally, so students no longer bring home paper catalogues.
  2. Parents place an order online at: Scholastic Loop
  3. The books are delivered to school, usually 2 - 3 weeks after the closing date.
  4. The books are then handed to your child in class.
  5. You child brings the books home to keep and enjoy.

There are two Book Club catalogues issued term. We are now up to Issue 3. This can be found at:

Wondering what to order? We recommend:

  • Ages 3+: How (Not) to Annoy Mum by Dave Hughes and Holly Life on page 1. Get ready for Mothers' Day by laughing along with all the hilarious things the kids do to annoy their mum!
  • Ages 6+: Pokemon Classic Collection on page 15. Eight of Ash’s best Pokémon adventures!
  • Ages 8+: Amulet Books 1 - 8 on page 25. Has your child read the Amulet series yet? If not, they are missing out! In this graphic novel series, Emily and Navin move into the old, mysterious home of their great- grandfather where strange things start happening.
  • Ages 10+: The Dangerous Gift (Wings of Fire series #14) on page 1. This book is the latest in the series and was only published in March 2021. In it, a storm of unidentified dragons arrives in Icewing territory.
