The Primary School Nursing Program

The Primary School Nursing Program

The Primary School Nursing Program is a free service offered by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to all children attending primary schools and English Language Centre schools in Victoria.

A health assessment is offered to all children in their first year of primary school.

All parents of our current Prep students have been provided with an information package containing a brochure about the program, a consent form and the School Entrant Health Questionnaire (SEHQ), which needs to be completed before an assessment can take place.

Parents are asked to complete and return their child’s SEHQ to school by Friday 16th June 2023.

Once the students’ forms have been collected, the school nurse is planning on conducting the Prep health assessments during the first 2 weeks of Term 3.
