Around The School

Our Year 3 and 4 students have enjoyed participating in the Kitchen Garden program this term.  It has been fantastic to see the students deepen their appreciation for nature, nutrition and sustainability as well as explore real-life maths concepts such as measurement and identifying fractions.

We are so grateful for the volunteers within the Old Orchard Community who have helped us run these sessions, we could not run the program without them.

SENUFO MUD CLOTHS

Mud cloths are made by the Senufo people of the Ivory Coast, Africa. They feature patterns of stylized animals, nature, masked figures and geometric designs.

The Grade 3 and 4 students designed their own mud cloths and painted them with a coffee wash.  We think they did an amazing job!
