International Student Program
Time is flying and we are now approaching the end of Term 2. There are so many highlights that we would like to share with you all!
Visitors from Cambodia
Recently we had the honour of hosting some visitors from Krou Yueung International School in Cambodia. They have left the following message: "It is such a privilege to visit Mordialloc College and receive a very warm welcome from Ms Qun Joan Mao and the school Assistant Principal Ms Tracey Bastin. I am feeling so happy to have the opportunity to visit your College, with such a very beautiful campus, atmosphere, study environment and your fabulous friendship and openness. I wish we can work with you in some ways in the future with various aspects of cooperation".
We definitely look forward to exploring a possible cultural exchange program in the future!
Seminar on Relationships and Bullying
Our wonderful School Nurse Ms Pamela Johnson hosted a special seminar on "Relationships and Bullying". Ms Johnson talked about the positive relationships, asked everyone to reflect on their own strengths, and raised awareness on the different types of bullying it is and strategies for dealing with this. Thank you Ms Johnson for an educational session for our students!
ILC students achievements
All international students are required to attend a 20 weeks Intensive Language Course (ILC) before they enter the mainstream classes if English is their second language. We are so pleased to see that our current ILC students have made great progress in improving their English skills this term. Thank you to all the teachers who are involved in teaching the ILC. Please see the amazing projects that our students have just made on the movie 'Storm Boy'.
The Ambassador Program (TAP) for Mordialloc College
I am honoured to be involved in the Ambassador Study Victorian Government Schools Program as a representative for Mordialloc College. As an ambassador I will help raise awareness and build connections with prospective international students and their parents. I will also be active on the platform by sharing our students' stories at the College.
