Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School- an empowered faith community to enrich the world
To provide a vibrant learning culture for our community of learners to thrive, guided by faith and compassion.
Dear Parents,
We have made it to the end of Term 2! I thank everyone for their commitment to our school and to ensuring that our students experience success in the variety of opportunities available to them!
Just a reminder of the following changes to school days:
Early finish (1pm) Friday 23 June
Early finish (1:15pm) Tuesday 18 July
Camp Australia will be available on these days.
Reports will be emailed via the Parent Access Module (PAM). We hope this platform proves to be an efficient and timely way of sharing this document. We ask that you take time to sit and read the report with your child and celebrate the growth and progress that all students have made this semester. From our Foundation students who have settled so beautifully into school, to our Year 6 students who are leading the school with confidence- there is much to celebrate!
On Tuesday 18 July, the school will be open from 2pm-5pm for your child to share their learning with you. This is an opportunity for you to visit the classroom and celebrate the growth of your child. They will be able to share with you their current learning goals and proudly show you around their learning space. This will not be a time for a one-on-one discussion with the class teacher.
To enable this celebration of learning, school will finish at 1:15pm on this day. Camp Australia will be available from this time for those families needing this service.
Thank you to those parents who completed the survey, which has provided us with some good feedback and information regarding how we can best work together to benefit the students in our community.
There was much interest in the establishment of a Parents and Friends group at the school. For those who are interested, please come to a meeting on Thursday 13 July at 6pm for an initial discussion of what being part of this group could look like.
I know you join me in wishing all our staff a well deserved rest over the holiday. To Ms K- enjoy your extra long break which is thoroughly deserved.
I hope that you too can experience some family time and restful periods over the next two weeks and we look forward to seeing everyone safely returning on Monday 10 July.
