Deputy Principal's Report

Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of our first semester. It has been a short but busy term culminating in reports and Mid-Year Conferences this week. We hope that you all manage to have a relaxing break. So many families seem to be jetting off to exotic locations and we wish you all a safe and happy holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 on the 10th July.
The Year 2 students also hosted an Open Morning on Tuesday, and it was wonderful to see how many parents came along to view the great work that has happened in Year 2 this term.
Resilience Project Parent Hub
Today’s presentation from The Resilience Project is all about Mindfulness. Mindfulness is our ability to be present at any given moment. We practise this by using intentional awareness and concentrating on what you are doing when you are doing it.
Thousands of studies into Mindfulness indicate that with regular practise, Mindfulness can lead to benefits such as; reduced stress, reduced rumination, increased memory, increased cognitive function and physical health benefits through improved immunity.View Part 4 of the series here:

Mindfulness can be practised through meditation, yoga, flow-states and daily activities such as cooking.

Child Safe Posters
Our Year 6 Wellbeing Leaders have been hard at work designing a set of posters that link to the Child Safe Standards. Once completed, these will be presented to the students and displayed around the school. Please see their designs so far below. Thank you to Trinity, Kiahna and Zara for delivering these important messages to our students.
Thank you
