Principal's Report

Dear Parents,
What a great evening we had last Friday night with the P & F Junior and Senior Disco! There was a lot of tired people at the end of the night but lots of fun. My sincere thanks to all of the parents who helped run the event particularly the Year 4 parent reps. Without your help our children would not have these incredible opportunities to have fun and most importantly, learn socializing skills that are so essential after 2 years of covid lockdowns. Please note that all props were sanitized between photos!
I hope everyone has a great mid year break and I look forward to seeing you all when Term 3 resumes on Monday 10th July.
Mid-Year Conferences
My thanks to all teachers for their professionalism and dedication to our school and students. The Parent/Teacher/Student meeting have concluded today, and I have been very impressed with the engagement and support from parents, students and staff. I am looking forward to the second semester of learning opportunites for our communtiy.
2023 Semester One Reports
On Monday June 19th at 9:00 AM, the Semester One Reports for each student will be released to the community via the nForma Online Portal. However there has has been a change to the portal that every family needs to be aware of:
nForma has recently upgraded the Online Portal to a 4th version for St. Finbar’s School. This means that we will need to clear and create access for all families and provide a temporary password to gain access to their portal.
What you need to do:
- Check the email account that is attached to the email address you have provided the school
- Check both the inbox and spam folder for an email from no-reply@nforma.com.au
- In the email you will receive a direct link to the portal for your family as well as a temporary password
- Click on the link to the portal and enter the temporary password
- You will be prompted to create a new password
- You should then have access to the portal which will include the 2023 Semester One Report as well as any previous reports that have been distributed via the portal.
It is recommended that this process be completed on a desktop/laptop computer rather than a smartphone or tablet (however, this is not essential). Also, this will be the ongoing process for accessing the portal going forward. nForma strongly suggests that all access is cleared and recreated with a new temporary password each semester to enhance the level of security for such confidential information. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause in the future.
If you have any difficulties accessing the portal or your child’s report, please contact Teaching & Learning Leader, Callum Mills via email cmills@sfbrightoneast.catholic.edu.au.
Please be mindful that a high volume of emails and requests can come through once the reports have been distributed. The school will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible regarding your request.
Yours sincerely,
Callum Mills.
Grandparents Day
On Wednesday 26th July (Wednesday, Week 3 Term 3) we will be holding our annual Grandparents and Special Friends morning.
The format of the morning will be as follows:
8:50am - 10:00am: Liturgies and sharing time in the classrooms
10:00am - 10:30am: Musical presentation in the school hall
10:30am - 11:00am - Morning Tea in the school hall
We are looking forward to seeing our Grandparents and special friends on this day. Please note that the school elevator is available for the safety of all visitors on the day. We will not be having a large gathering in the church this year as we still need to be covid aware and vigilant in this space. Visitors are welcome to wear masks if they choose to and masks will be made available to all visitors in the school foyer.
