Chaplain's Corner

In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.  Abraham Lincoln

We all have a story and sometimes we need to be curious and take the time to listen before we make any judgement!

A young man in his twenties was seeing out from the train’s window shouted…

“Father, look at the trees! They are going behind!”

The young man’s father smiled at the man, and a young couple sitting nearby looked at the young man’s childish comment with pity.

Suddenly, the young man exclaimed again.

“Father, look at the clouds! They are all running with us!”

The couple couldn’t resist and said to the old man.

“Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?”

The older man smiled and said

“We did, and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth, and he just got his vision today.”

May the God who suprises us and turns up in the most unexpected places, bring you life, joy and peace.

Chapel

Over the last month we have explored the post-Easter season in which the life-giving Holy Spirit is promised and given at Pentecost.

We have also looked at “Purpose in Life” with Jeremiah 29:1, National Reconciliation Week (John 13:34-35) and Unity (John 17:1-5,11) in which Jesus prays for his disciples and us to be one as Jesus is one, with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Many thanks to Mrs Anne Zugan and Mrs Josie Crisara for leadingchapels whilst I was away on Year 9 Central Australia Camp!
