Now Open - The Country University Centre - Narrabri

The Country University Centre (CUC) is a generic university style campus that makes it possible to study almost any degree offered by any Australian university at a local university campus.  The new CUC North West has a campus in Narrabri and Moree and is free to use and accepts university students of any age.

Funded by the State and Federal Governments, the CUC is a not-for-profit organisation, established with the aim of making tertiary education more accessible for regional and remote communities in New South Wales

Regional youth participate in tertiary education at less than half the rate of their metropolitan counterparts, with the gap widening further in recent years. One of the biggest challenges faced by regional and remote students is the absence of a ‘campus’ environment and its associated support and benefits. The Country Universities Centre is based on a model which delivers supported learning to these students, providing them with access to campus-level technology, facilities, tutors and a network of fellow students.

Located next to the town library in Narrabri, within just a few weeks of opening its doors, the CUC North West has already had more than 20 students sign on to the the facility.

That university degree just got a whole lot me achievable!!
