Production Crafternoons

Starting this week on Thursday, we will be having 'crafternoons' for our  upcoming school production. Crafternoons will be from 2:25 pm to 3:20 pm every Thursday and is an opportunity for classes to practise their songs and dances as well as create any costumes or props that they need.

We would love any parents and family members to join us and be a part of the excitement as we prepare for our production Alice in Wonderland Jr. If you are available to help in any way or would like to come along and join in with our rehearsals please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Website Feedback- Learning at Home Page

Thank you for the wonderful feedback about our ‘Learning at Home’ page on our school website. Parents who completed the survey have asked for the page to be sorted into year levels as well as learning activities or discussion starters in a range of topics including growth mindset and resilience, mindfulness and ICT. This feedback has been extremely helpful to reflect on the page and how I can make it even more successful. It is great to hear that many of you are accessing the page and trialling some of the activities. Over the coming weeks I will be working on the website to make some of the changes suggested.

Learning at Home Parent Sessions

From the feedback in the survey for the ‘Learning at Home’ page on our website, I will also be putting together a timetable for some Learning at Home Parent Sessions which many of you said you were interested in. The majority of parents who filled in the survey have expressed Friday as their most preferred day closely followed by Monday. We are looking at both of these days for our Learning at Home Parent Sessions, alternating weeks. Areas of interest for these sessions ranged from reading and maths to mindfulness, growth mindset and resilience. We hope to cover these topics throughout this term.

ClassDojo and sharing learning at home

We are very excited to be sharing our learning at school through ClassDojo. We would love for parents to share the learning that is happening at home with us as well. This can be done by posting comments of family discussions about homework topics or photos and videos of students completing learning tasks at home. If you are not yet signed up to ClassDojo please see me and I am more than happy to help you get connected!
