Message from the Acting Principal

What a wonderful start to Term 3! I walked through the Prep neighbourhood yesterday and was amazed to see their social and emotional growth from the beginning of the year.

We have numerous exciting events coming up in Term 3. Alice in Wonderland Junior preparation is in full swing; please remember everyone is welcome to attend Crafternoon sessions every Thursday afternoon to help prepare for the Production.

I would like to congratulate Emily Prato for organising and running a highly successful and engaging Athletics Carnival for our 3-6 students late last Term.  I would like to thank all the parent helpers who volunteered their time to help with the sports rotations. The carnival couldn’t run without your help.

A small reminder that school is closed Thursday 19th September and Friday 20th September. All staff will be attending a conference with St Mary’s and St Gerard’s (SMAG) The theme of the conference is ‘Collaboration’. The Conference focus will be to build the SMAG Leadership collaboration and facilitate a shift to co-responsibility for the development of professional learning and strong shared content and knowledge development in the Cluster.  This will be a wonderful opportunity for all staff members to increase their professional learning and collaborate with others to improve student outcomes.

I wish everyone the happiest of weekends. I’m hoping to visit the South Melbourne Market and read a good book.

Stay warm and safe!

James Gow
