VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies – Semester One wrap up

Our Year 11 VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies students have had a busy first half of the year. They successfully completed their Unit 1 studies and attended a number of excursions to link their classroom work to the activities and environments visited.

The class have had a great time getting out of school for a walk at Cowies Creek, Surfing at Bancoora, hit the trails Mountain Biking in Anglesea, as well as Snorkelling in St Leonards and completed a two day Sailing program with the Victorian Sailing School at Eastern Beach in Geelong.

These activities have pushed students out of their comfort zones and provided students with a range of new experiences and some lifelong memories.

Semester Two is planned to be just as busy, with two camps (Hiking and Canoeing), Kayaking as well as an educational Dune Care program running to reinforce students efforts in their studies. Everyone is looking forward to the challenges to come and continuing to prepare for Units 3 and 4 next year.

If you would like any further information on the College’s Outdoor Education program from Year 9 to VCE/VCAL, don’t hesitate to get in contact.
