New semester timetable

We now move into semester two which means students have some changes to their timetables and elective subjects. This is an excellent opportunity to experience a breadth of subjects across the college and help you narrow down your pathway selections prior to senior schooling. If for some reason you need to change an elective subject you need to speak to your year level coordinators prior to the first week back. Changes will not be made to timetables after week 1. More information on the subject requirements and curriculum options can be found on the college website.

Year 9 Careers and Interpersonal Day

On Monday, 21 June, our Year 9 students participated in a careers and interpersonal day. In the morning we were thrilled to have seven Alumni return to North Geelong Secondary College and share their experiences, high school memories and learnings with our Year 9 cohort. For the middle session students participated in careers activities based around goal setting, researching future careers, mock subject selections and gaining information about VET, SBAT and other external opportunities. The afternoon was an excellent opportunity to mingle and have some fun. Students chose to attend two practical sessions including; self defence, trust activities, yoga, mindfulness and problem solving games. A special thanks to the following staff who helped organise the day and run activities; Tanja Dunat Timms, Josh Vassallo, Kim Nguyen, Caroline Makin, Tim Humphries, Kueper Lang and David Armstrong.
