WHERE CHILDREN LOVE TO BE

PERFORMING ARTS NEWS

TERM 3 PERFORMANCE!

In Performing Arts we will be learning Dance, with a Performance planned for the last week of term: after school on Thursday 16th September in the Gym.

Each class will learn a dance in Performing Arts lessons, and all of the dances will link to a common theme. The Student Executive discussed, brainstormed and voted on the theme of Positivity. The students thought that we needed to focus on the positives together after 2020.

The Grade 5/6 students will do a mix of Dance and Drama this term, building up to the performance. They will speak between the dances, introduce each class and connect the dances with our theme in different ways.

More details of the Performance will be announced through Compass soon.

As usual, all of these plans are Covid-pending. If there are more lockdowns, our performance date or whole structure may change. Covid may affect our ability to rehearse in full classes, or to perform at all. We hope that you understand and thank you for your support.

Keep dancing!

Please keep encouraging your children to engage in physical activity every day. Daily physical activity helps children feel happier and less worried. The role of physical activity on children’s emotional and mental wellbeing has never been more necessary.
