WHERE CHILDREN LOVE TO BE

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 3

Dear Parents/Carers,

A warm welcome back to Term 3, despite us working remotely from home.  I am also working remotely and caring for two of my grandchildren, Rosie who is in Year 7 and Henry in Year 3. I share this with you, as I understand how many of you are feeling as you try to juggle parenting, work at home and guiding your child/children with remote learning.

Please manipulate the weekly and daily plans to do what works for you and your family during this time. Some families will work early in the morning, some later in the day.  Some will try and do a lot in one day and have days where they do less. Every situation is different.  Remember: you are not required to be the ‘teacher’.  This is not home schooling – this is remote and flexible learning. This means the teacher is there to teach and you are there to guide your child/children.  Treat the plan as homework – setting aside time for your children to complete the work. If you have questions about learning, or your child has questions about their tasks/learning, please contact your teacher.

We look forward to seeing the students back at school once the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

2022 PREP ENROLMENTS

We have begun planning for our prep classes next year and we want to make sure that all our South Melbourne Park families who have a child starting school next year have submitted the enrolment form.  If you haven’t submitted the enrolment form, please give this your immediate attention, as we need to know how many places can be offered to students living outside the school zone. Enrolment forms can be emailed to school
