Teaching & Learning 4H

What a busy Term Two 4H has had! This was truly a term of hands on fun learning, from our last term out on the farm to Camp and Food Science. The students were able to explore their strengths and face their fears on our Grade Four Camp this term. Many faced their fears on the Giant Swing, or flew to success on the Flying Fox. As if camp wasn’t enough excitement this term, 4H also saw out their final term working on the farm. Finishing up with the longest earth worm competition, with the winning worm measuring in at over 25cm, now that’s a worm! Finally, this was the term to explore our tastebuds, step out of our comfort zone and cook! Term Two saw 4H work under our LPS Executive Chef Al, and what a treat we had instore over the time in the kitchen! From cheesy grilled sandwiched to Al’s Nachos, the kids truly lost themselves in the whole experience! I think many parents were pleased to see some of these recipes make it back to their homes. Could we ask for a better semester? I don’t think so! We can’t wait for you to see where the school year takes us next!
