Teaching & Learning 3V

The first week of school was a fantastic (albeit interrupted) start to the term for 3V, especially with the addition of Food Science into our week’s specialist subjects.

Our first session included making table teams, learning our way around the kitchen and utensils, and working together to prepare food and clean up. At the end of the term, the winning table team gets a free luncheon prepared by Al and served by Mrs Vancea, so everyone is very eager to do their best.

We had some delicious fruit salad and ice-cream this time around, and it was fantastic to see everyone tasting each type of fruit – even if they thought they wouldn’t like it!

We’ve missed being in the classroom and getting to do things together, but we’re looking forward to all of the delectable delights we’ll be able to make under the guidance of Al (and his super impressive knife skills). 

Mrs Vancea is also looking forward to the free meal she gets each week!
