The Burrendah Colour Explosion event is back!
Put on your white t-shirt and run around our fabulous obstacle course getting covered in water and coloured powder – it’s the most fun you’ll have all year!
When: Wednesday 5th April 2023
Where: Burrendah Primary School Oval
Parent consent forms must be returned to teachers by Friday 31st March
Your child needs to bring: a white t-shirt, sunglasses or goggles, a change of clothes, a towel
This event is a major fundraiser and we are asking for your support. All money raised will go towards upgrades in the playground. Plus, there are great prizes to win!
What to wear
It will be a free dress day so your child can come to school dressed in their colour run clothes. Students will not be permitted to participate in their school uniform. As they run or walk the course, adult volunteers will spray students with water and coloured powder.
Coloured Powder
The coloured powder used in the event is non-toxic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly, consisting of 98% corn starch and 2% food colouring. Students with lung issues such as asthma are advised to be careful in their decision to participate. Ingredient listing and toxicology risk assessment of the powder used are available to view in the front office. The volunteers will do their best to spray the colour on the torso, however, wind and other factors can cause the powder to land elsewhere, including the face.
*** Parents that DO NOT want their child to be sprayed with colour are asked to dress them in a coloured shirt so they can be easily identified and directed to run behind the colour station***
