Yr 5/6 Melbourne Immigration museum

Year 5 and 6 Students travelled by train to the Melbourne Immigration Museum on Monday and Tuesday.

They learnt all about why and how immigrants and refugees leave their countries to come to Australia. The activities that students participated in the Education Centre were: answering questions about our family history and learning about 5 families that migrated to Australia.

The students then had the opportunity to explore the museum, where they read about peoples' journeys and experiences of coming to and living in Australia.
