Week 3 Of Lent

This Sunday 12th March is the Third Sunday of Lent.

In Week 1 of our journey through Lent, we remembered that God is a loving and constant friend.

In Week 2 we were reminded to listen to the words of Jesus.

The gospel this week tells us that the message of Jesus is like water which gives us life.

When we drink this water, we will be on the right path and heading in the right direction.

Lent is a time to reflect on how well we are doing that.

Lenten Prayer

Loving God,

through your Son, Jesus,

you give us the water of eternal life.

Help us to change our ways and turn to you

so that we can drink deeply from the well that Jesus offers us.

Give us the courage we need to live out his message

so that we will never be thirsty again.

We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
