Principal's News
Mr Rodrigues
Dear Families,
Just when we think we have seen the last of our sunny weather, as only Melbourne can, we are surprised with more sunshine to brighten our days. Fortunately for our playground works this weather means the workers can stay on track and hopefully finish the work within the next few days. As you will have seen, the soccer oval is completed and the grass on our basket ball court has been laid. Just a few finishing touches and we will be back to normal at Trinity.
IMPORTANT
There are some important updates on our Parents and Friends page this week so please have a read.
NAPLAN
This week our Year 3 and Year 5 students commenced their NAPLAN tests. This year, apart from the year 3 writing, all other tests are completed online. Much preparation was required for this and I thank Mrs Smith and Mrs Marinelli along with our Year 3 and Year 5 teachers who ensured this was a very smooth process for our children.
Parent Talking Circle 1
It was great to see a number of parents attending the first of our Parent Talking Circles on Monday. The topic of discussion was our school's Home Learning Policy and ways we can help support our children in their learning at home. I thank those parents who attended for their feedback and questions as this will help us in developing our school policies whilst keeping in mind the voice of our parents.
Family Mass
For all those who attended our Family Mass on Tuesday I am sure you will agree with me just how proud we can be of our children. Fr Michael who celebrated the mass was full of compliments for our children in how well they answered his questions and confidently they engaged in discussion about the Gospel of he day. Congratulations of course to our teachers and parents who obviously have instilled this knowledge, confidence and interest in our children. Thanks again Ms Antonella and the Year 1/2 teachers who prepared the mass and our readers so well.
Prayer: Thanking God for Family
We are very thankful, God, for the good times we have with our families. Thank You for allowing us to enjoy each other’s company. Thank You for giving us time to spend with them each day.
Preserve our good relationships, Father, whenever we are with our beloved families. Let peace reign in our homes and let compassion fill each of our hearts. Teach us what it is to experience real joy and enable us to show each other what this means.
Amen

Student Reports and Student Led Conferences
Our written student reports which, will be completed and sent home at the end of this First Semester, form part of the formal process of communicating to our families about each child's progress. At Trinity these reports are read in conjunction with the feedback we recieve from our children and their teacher at the Student Led Conference which will be held on Monday 6th June. Whilst our written reports show a progression point score in each of the curriculum areas covered we know that from your feedback, the personalised comment and verbal feedback are equally important components of the reports.
