Ministry and Care
Pastor Peter Janetzki
Hello everyone. I would like to share a personal message from the Bible with you.
Have people ever hurt you? Have people ever been unkind to you?
Have you ever listened to what they’ve said and started becoming just like them?
Have you ever looked at yourself and started using similar put-down words against yourself?
People hurt me sometimes. I have been laughed at and made fun of.
When I start feeling down about myself, I need to ask myself this question: Whose am I? Who has created me? Who has saved me and given his life for me? Who am I in God?
You see, the important thing is how God sees us. What does God see about us? What is our true identity? Jesus died on the cross so we can be saved and have a loving relationship with him.
When God created the world, he made human beings the favourite part of his creation. In other words, God loves you and has a purpose for your life. You were made for a reason. Through Jesus, God makes all people a new creation, forgiven, loved yesterday, today and forever, head not the tail, above not beneath, chosen, a child of God, the apple of God’s eye, blessed to be a blessing.
God’s words have life and God tells us he loves us no matter what.
So when you’re having a hard time or when people say unkind things to you, don’t believe it. Claim the good stuff we have in God! Put on the armour of God. Hold onto the promises of God. Say your identity out loud. Claim who you are and give thanks to Jesus.
Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 says: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for your welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.”
You are God’s child. And God will never leave or forsake you.
