On Friday 27th May, our student leaders took part in the community flag-raising ceremony which was held by Cardinia Council at their Civic Centre in Officer. This was to recognise the start of National Reconciliation Week (27th May to 3rd June), a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, culture and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Interschool District Sport & NRL Melbourne Storm Event

This week many of our students are taking part in Interschool District Sport Competitions. We have four different sporting events occurring, with a total of 100 talented students taking part in Year 8 Netball and Football, Senior Basketball, and the NRL Under 16 and 18 Boys Melbourne Storm Game Development Shield. We wish all of our students well in their sporting endeavours.

Today (31/05), our Foundation VCAL classes have attended a Cohesion Day. They have been running team building games and cross year level activities for students in younger year levels (Year 7-9) and organised a barbecue lunch for their peers.  By being involved in the planning and running of the day, students will meet Unit 1 outcomes for their Personal Development Skills subject.

Our Year 12 VCAL Numeracy class will be attending an excursion on Tuesday, 31st May to the Melbourne Zoo, where they will be investigating and collecting data to bring back to the school for analysis.

Year 9 Photography City Excursion

Today, 30th May, the Year 9 Photography students were able to demonstrate their photographic skills in the city, even though it was a very wet day. They visited the NGV gallery to avoid the rain and had the opportunity to view a variety of sculptural and 2D works to use as their photographic subjects.

School Clubs and Activities

At Pakenham Secondary College we have a wide array of extra-curricular activities occurring each day.  From sporting events, such as volleyball, basketball and Rugby (to name a few) and some fabulous lunchtime clubs.

Please see the latest list of clubs for details. Students are able to join any of the clubs at any time during the term. Please contact the appropriate Coordinator for more information.
