On Tuesday, 24th May, 37 of our students competed in the Cardinia Division Secondary School Cross Country Competition, which was held at Akoonah Park in Berwick. All of the students ran very well and represented our school superbly.
Congratulations to Hunter Beaumont from 8.3 who won 1st Place in the 14 Boys District Cross Country, and will now compete in the Regional Cross Country Competition. We wish Hunter all the best in his next competition on Thursday, 23rd June!
'Be an Active Learner'
Active learners are students who actively engage in the learning process. They are a part of the learning and demonstrate their desire to learn through several important characteristics. These include:
- Being on time for class
- Being prepared - bring all necessary equipment (eg. writing implements, text books and laptop).
- Participating in class discussion (both answering questions and asking questions).
- Completing work to the best of their ability (adding the extra detail, giving as much information as they can).
- Completing homework.
- Regular study and revision.
Each week we will be rewarding students who are identified as 'Active Learners' at the College. They will go into a draw and each of these students will be given a $30 cinema voucher.
