Blessed Edmund Rice Liturgy

Even though Edmund Rice Day activities were postponed until later in the year, individual Pastoral Care Groups celebrated a liturgy for this extraordinary man.   With coloured cloths, crucifixes, crosses, candles and voices ready to read and sing, a sacred space was created in each classroom.

The schools that Blessed Edmund introduced offered young men a sense of dignity and a Catholic education that prepared them for adulthood and provided them with an opportunity to develop a relationship with God. For Edmund, education equated to spiritual, financial, physical, and emotional freedom.  On Tuesday, we paid tribute to Edmund’s legacy and charisms.

A big thank you to Ruby Lango for putting the video together to assist our staff and to all staff who celebrated this liturgical gathering with enthusiasm and reverence.
