What are some things that make you happy?
Ashton (Prep S) "We had to draw something that makes us happy. I drew my dad giving me kisses, which is why there are love hearts"
Florence (Prep S) "I'm colouring in a horse. A girl is riding the horse. Colouring in makes me calm"
Amy (Prep C) "Bunjil is an eagle. He made the land. We traced our hands and coloured them in to make his wings"
Grades 1 and 2
Grade 1

Ryder "I made Amelia and some other people laugh by being silly"
Oscar "We are making Macca's chips right now during investigations"

Take a look below - students from Ms Chisholm's class took turns looking in the box to find out who was her favourite student!
What is something interesting that you learned this week?
Lottie "I loved doing maths this week. We have been doing equations. We are doing addition activities where you need to add to 100. We also played a game where you get a number and you need to double it"
Vivi F "We are taking a human emotion and an object and making it alive. It is called personification. I wrote a story about a ballet shoe. It said 'Oh, why are people putting me on?'"
Grades 3 and 4
Grade 3
What have you been doing in Visual Art this week?
Aubrey "We are making dragons. We used tape, paper paint and Plasticine. We haven't done this before and it is interesting to use our hands to sculpture"
Nuno "I started with a giant piece of paper and screwed it up to make a cylinder shape and then used tape to wrap it. Fletcher helped me to paint it and Flynn helped me to make the tongue"
Grade 4
What have you been working on in the lead up to Education Week?
Tom "We've been learning about animal classifications. We are making a poster on birds. We will put it up in the hub so parents can see it when they come and visit"
Sophie "Here are some interesting facts: Birds don't have teeth and they evolved from dinosaurs"
Grades 5 and 6
Grade 5
Tell us about a piece of work that you are proud of.
Tess "I enjoyed writing the persuasive piece in writing. I wrote about why drawing on paper was better than drawing on an iPad. Some of my reasons were: It is good for fine motor skills, it is more therapeutic and fun, and it is easier to control the pencil rather than a finger on the iPad."
Henry "I was happy that I finished the Waste Warrior task. We had to write a text, focusing on either a way to help the environment or a way to help other people. One thing I wrote about was how we need to keep plastic out of the ocean. I was really interested in the topic so I wrote it all in one day."
Grade 6
Tell us about an activity that you have really enjoyed doing.
Charlie "We started working in a stop motion video. We watched a couple of videos on how to do it. We need to take lots of photos and we have started by testing it out on various objects. We took a packing peanut apart and used another one to make it look like it came back together again"
Ivy "In Performing Arts we are practising for production. We have been learning our parts. I am playing a lion in a scene where an airport turns into a jungle but I can't say any more about it yet. We are also performing the song This is Me and learning all the dance moves"
