Take note

Mark your diaries | Mini Winter Feast 2022

Gather family and friends and join us after dark on Friday 17 June for a community celebration of winter in Hobart.

The St Mary's College Mini Winter Feast promises an evening of fun, feasting and frivolity, with a warming array of comforting food and beverages available for purchase on the College Green, live musical entertainment and a disco in the Nagle Centre for students in Years 3–6.

In a nod to Maori culture, we'll also be offering a traditional hangi, pictured below, where food is cooked in a pit underground from hot rocks and earth.

Be sure to rug up as it can get quite cold at night! Bring a jacket, beanie and pair of gloves so you can enjoy the full outdoor experience.

Entry is free from 5.00pm.

RSVP by Friday 10 June for catering purposes via this link. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Please note that due to preparation for the event, the Murphy's Café menu and lunch orders will be limited on Friday 17 June.

Coming soon | Keeping Safe in Cyberspace

Come and listen to leading Australian cyber safety expert, Susan McLean share her knowledge on keeping children safe online as they navigate cyberspace.

There's still time to register to attend this session, which will take place on Thursday 9 June at 7.00pm in the Nagle Centre.

Call out for winter woollies

The SMC Vinnies conference will once again be running its annual winter woollies clothing collection next week (Week 6).

We ask all families to please have a look through their cupboards for any warm blankets and clothing that would be beneficial for those in the greater Hobart area in need this winter.

On Wednesday 8 June, Senior School students will be able to wear their sports uniform to school and bring warm clothing items, such as Uggs, beanies and scarves, to bundle up in during the day for a gold coin donation to St Vincent de Paul Society.

We thank you for your support of this important drive.

Youth Minister
