Year 9 Child Studies

This Term students in Year 9 Child Studies investigated and experienced different types of play-based learning which contribute to the positive development of children. They assessed a range of play choices, environments and activities in terms of learning, suitability, sustainability and safety. As part of their Assessment Task for the ‘Play and the Developing Child’ Unit, students were asked to design and make a toy suitable for different age groups. Here are some of the end products of their hard work.
