Final Transition Day

Next Tueday the 10th December is our final transition day for the year. On this day the students will find out who is their teacher and class for next year. Your child will bring home a letter informing you who their teacher will be for 2020 and who are some of their friends in their class as well. Our new prep students will also be here for their final transition day as well. Most of our Year 6 students will be away this day attending transition at their new secondary schools, but a few will remain assisting the specialist teachers and prep transition. Parents will also be informed via Compass of the teachers for next year on this day as well.

Playground News

We are in the final stages of organising the installation of a new playground and upgrades to the current playgrounds  for next year. We are very excited about this project and look forward to more play space and opportunities for our students. Part of the playground will be funded by all fundraising efforts this year across the school so thank you all for contributing to these fundraisers, and to the Parent's Association for their hard work in raising funds as well.

Start of the Year Absences

If your child or children will be away for the first few days or weeks we require you to write a letter and send it to the office informing us of the absence. We are required by the Department of Education to account for student absences if they are not here. Please contact the office if you have any inquires regarding your child's absence.

Parent Helpers and Volunteers Morning Tea

Just a reminder we will be holding a Thank You morning tea on Friday 13th December between 10-11am in the staff room. We would like to invite any parents, families or friends of the school who have helped out in any way this year for the school such as being part of the School Council or Parent's Association, been a parent helper in the classroom, assisted at fundraising events, went on an excursion and the many others ways parents have helped out with their time this year. We greatly appreciate all the help our parents give us throughout the year and would love you to come along next week.

Christmas Concert

The Christmas Concert this year will take place on Thursday 12th December starting at 5pm with the actual concert starting at 6.30pm sharp. The "Institute of Smoke" will also be present and will be selling food (*cash and Eftpos available)from 5pm. Families are also invited to bring along picnic blankets, chairs and their own food for the evening as well. Students will sing a number of fun and exciting Christmas songs and it should be a lovely way to finish off the school year. More information about the food that can be purchased can be found below.

Prep Information Evening

Last Wednesday day evening the school conducted an information evening for 2020 Prep student parents. It was lovely to meet so many new families and to catch up with some of our current families too. Thank you to our r Parent's Assocation President, Jo Predergast for providing insightful presentations to the parents on the various activities of the Parents Association. Thanks also to 2020 Prep Team and staff Maddy Gallagher, Linda McKenzie and Larissa Clark for attending.
