Immersion Week

The start to high school has been busy for Year 7. The highlight to the start of 2019 has been Immersion week. Students spent a whole week immersed in the culture of McClelland College, learning about our values of Community, Ownership and Growth. Students had the opportunity to demonstrate the school values in activities such as Rock climbing, the Amazing Race, McClelland Trivia, growth and fixed mindset and a dance workshop.

Author Will Kostakis EP+ Student Workshop

EP+ students experienced a creative writing workshop with Will Kostakis, the author of our Year 10 text, The Sidekicks. McClelland College were lucky enough to be the first people to see Will’s new book, Monuments. Hopefully the students can use these tips in the Whitlam Institute writing competition.

2019 Student Representative Council Members

This year we had a record 37 nominations for our Student Representative Council (SRC). All Year 7 students voted after listening to a short speech from the nominees. The 2019 SRC members are:
